Washington Teacher/Principal Evaluation Program
Description of evaluation system
A principal is evaluated on all eight criteria using a leadership framework rubric and student growth rubric. More than one measure of student growth must be used in scoring the student growth rubric.
Frequency of performance evaluation
Principals are evaluated on all eight criteria in their first three years of employment as a principal and thereafter at least every four years. In the intervening years, at least one out of eight criterion must be assessed in the annual evaluation.
